The OPC acknowledges Jesus Christ as the sole head of the church, which is his body. The OPC also believes that Christ has established his church to gather and perfect his people by the ministry of the Word and the sacraments of baptism and the Lord's Supper. OPC Congregations gather on the Lord's Day to worship the triune God by hearing the Word read and preached, praying, singing psalms and hymns, and receiving the sacraments.
